What's New
This release of Actions Pro introduces the following new features, improvements, and changes.
Control CMDLINE_EXCLUDE Centrally
The new automation.execution.option.cmdline.exclude system property allows you to control the CMDLINE_EXCLUDE ActionTask option centrally. It is meant as a migration aid if you are upgrading Actions Pro from versions 7.2 or earlier.

Autogeneration of Hostname
When the LOCALHOST Blueprint property has been left blank, Actions Pro will use the output of the hostname OS command to set it implicitly.
Pre-Population of Stored Values in Gateway Builder
When test-running the pull script of a Gateway Builder filter, the Last Id, Last Value, and Last Time Stamp values will be pre-populated in the run dialog box if previously stored.

Export ActionTask Images with Automations
You have the option to include ActionsTask-customization images when exporting an Automation using the Package Manager or the Import Export Module.

Usability Improvements in Custom Form Builder
The columns of the Custom Form Builder have been rearranged to provide a more natural workflow.
The responsive design has been improved to better handle various zoom levels.
More Useful Browser Tab Names
The current page title is now displayed first in the web browser tab or window instead of the worksheet name. This helps more easily identify the tab/window when you have multiple tabs open.
Description Field for Gateway Builder Parameters
You can now add descriptions to the parameters that you add when configuring Gateway Builder filter. Use the description to document the parameter for other filter users.
SNMP Gateway Enhancements
The following enhancements to the SMTP Gateway have been done:
- Listener supports SMTP v1 traps.
- Support for the
*wildcard and regular expressions in the OID field in SMTP Filter settings. - Improved logging.
Updated Groovy Version
The version of Groovy has been upgraded to 4.0.10. See JAR Changes to learn how this change affects the availability of JAR files.
Rearranged Dashboard
The Actions > Dashboard screen has been optimized:
- The Dashboard > Stats tab has been removed.
- The reports from the Stats tab are now located on the Dashboard > Actions Dashboard tab.
- These reports have been dropped completely:
- Top Automation Authors by Usage
- Automation Usage by Tag
New Learning Videos
The video tutorials found on the Dashboard > Resolve Intro tab have been updated.
Removed Features
Removed Legacy Import-Export
The legacy import-export module (Import Export > Import Export Module) has been removed. The Import Export > Package Manager menu, that has been part of Actions Pro for many versions now, is a more feature-rich and user-friendly replacement.
Packages created with the legacy Import Export Module will continue to be supported by Package Manager, but do not show a content preview when opened.
Infrastructure Changes
The following changes aim to improve stability, compatibility, performance, and security but might also be dictated by new features.
JAR Changes

Starting with version 7.3, only new additions and updated JAR files are being included. JAR files that are no longer part of the Actions Pro installation are marked as removed. Keep in mind that the Actions Pro upgrade procedure does not delete older versions of upgraded or removed JAR files; they might still exist after an upgrade.
